அக்காலத்திலே ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரனாகிய அனானி யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவினிடத்தில் வந்து, அவனை நோக்கி: நீர் உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளாமல், சீரியாவின் ராஜாவைச் சார்ந்துகொண்டபடியினால், சீரியா ராஜாவின் இராணுவம் உமது கைக்குத் தப்பிப்போயிற்று.

அக்காலத்திலே தரிசனம் காண்கிறவனாகிய அனானி யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவினிடத்தில் வந்து, அவனை நோக்கி: நீர் உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளாமல், சீரியாவின் ராஜாவைச் சார்ந்துகொண்டதால், சீரியா ராஜாவின் படை உமது கைக்குத் தப்பிப்போனது.

அப்போது யூதாவின் அரசனான ஆசாவிடம் அனானி எனும் ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரன் வந்தான். அனானி அரசனிடம், “ஆசா, நீ உதவிக்காக ஆராம் நாட்டு அரசனையே சார்ந்திருந்தாய். உனது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைச் சார்ந்திருக்கவில்லை. நீ உன் உதவிக்காக கர்த்தரைச் சார்ந்திருக்கவேண்டும். ஆனால் உதவிக்காகக் கர்த்தரைச் சாராததால் ஆராம் நாட்டு படையும் உன் கைகளில் இருந்து விலகிப்போனது.

அக்காலத்தில் திருக்காட்சியாளர் அனானி, யூதா அரசனான ஆசாவிடம் வந்து அவனிடம், “உன் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரை நீ நம்பாமல் சிரியா மன்னனை நம்பியதால், அவனது படை உனது கையினின்று நழுவிப்போயிற்று.
