ஆதலால் இரதங்களின் தலைவர் யோசபாத்தைக் காண்கையில், இவன்தான் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா என்று சொல்லி யுத்தம்பண்ண அவனைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் கூக்குரல் இட்டான்; கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு அநுசாரியாயிருந்தார்; அவர்கள் அவனை விட்டு விலகும்படி தேவன் செய்தார்.

ஆதலால் இரதங்களின் தலைவர் யோசபாத்தைக் கண்டபோது, இவன் தான் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா என்று நினைத்துப் போர்செய்ய அவனை சூழ்ந்துகொண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் கூக்குரலிட்டான்; கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு உதவி செய்தார்; அவர்கள் அவனைவிட்டு விலகும்படி தேவன் செய்தார்.

Tamil Easy Reading Version
இரதப் படைத் தளபதிகள் யோசபாத்தைக் கண்டதும் “இஸ்ரவேலின் அரசனான ஆகாப் அங்கே இருக்கிறான்!” என்று எண்ணினார்கள். எனவே யோசபாத்தைத் தாக்க அவர்கள் திரும்பினார்கள். ஆனால் யோசபாத் சத்தமிட்டு வேண்டினபடியால் கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு உதவினார். தேவன் இதரப் படைத் தளபதிகளை யோசபாத்தை விட்டு விலகும்படி செய்தார்.

ஆதலால், தேர்ப்படைத் தலைவர்கள் யோசபாத்தைக் கண்டவுடன், “இவன்தான் இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசன்!” என்று அவனோடு போரிடும்படி அவனைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டார்கள். அப்பொழுது யோசபாத்து ஆண்டவரை நோக்கிக் கூக்குரலிட, அவரும் அவருக்குத் துணையாக வந்து, எதிரிகள் அவனைவிட்டு விலகும்படி செய்தார்.
