அப்பொழுது அனானியின் குமாரனாகிய யெகூ என்னும் ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரன் புறப்பட்டு, அவனைச் சந்தித்து, ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: துன்மார்க்கனுக்குத் துணைநின்று, கர்த்தரைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களை நீர் சிநேகிக்கலாமா? இதினிமித்தம் கர்த்தருடைய கடுங்கோபம் உம்மேல் வர இருந்தது.

யெகூ என்னும் ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரன் யோசபாத்தை சந்திக்க வந்தான். அவனது தந்தையின் பெயர் அனானி. அவன் அரசனிடம், “ஏன் கெட்டவர்களுக்கு உதவினாய்? கர்த்தரை வெறுப்பவர்கள் மேல் ஏன் அன்பு செலுத்தினாய். அதனால் தான் கர்த்தர் உன் மீது கோபமாக இருக்கிறார்.

அப்போது அனானீயின் மகன் ஏகூ என்ற திருக்காட்சியாளர் அரசர் யோசபாத்தைச் சந்தித்து அவரிடம், “நீர் தீயவனுக்குத் துணை நிற்கலாமா? ஆண்டவரை வெறுப்பவனோடு நட்புக் கொள்ளலாமா? அதனால் ஆண்டவரின் சினம் உம்மேல் விழ இருந்தது.
