அப்பொழுது தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராம் சாலொமோனுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனத்தைச் சிநேகித்ததினால், உம்மை அவர்கள்மேல் ராஜாவாக வைத்தார்.

பிறகு ஈராம் சாலொமோனுக்குப் பதில் அனுப்பினான். ஈராம் அனுப்பிய செய்தியில் அவன், “சாலொமோன், கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனங்களை நேசிக்கிறார். அதனால்தான் அவர்களுக்கு அரசனாக உன்னைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்திருக்கிறார்” எனக் குறிப்பிட்டான்.
