பின்பு அவன் ஜனத்தோடே ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, பரிசுத்தமுள்ள மகக்துவத்தைத் துதிக்கவும், ஆயுதம் அணிந்தவர்களுக்கு முன்னாக நடந்துபோய், கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளதென்று கர்த்தரைப் பாடவும், பாடகரை நிறுத்தினான்.

பின்பு அவன் மக்களோடு ஆலோசனைசெய்து, பரிசுத்தமுள்ள மகத்துவத்தைத் துதிக்கவும், ஆயுதம் அணிந்தவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக நடந்துபோய், கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள், அவர் கிருபை என்றும் உள்ளதென்று கர்த்தரைப் பாடவும், பாடகர்களை நிறுத்தினான்.

பிறகு யோசபாத் ஜனங்களை அறிவுரைகளால் உற்சாகப்படுத்தினான். பின்னர் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்துப் பாடப் பாடகர்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தான். கர்த்தர் பரிசுத்தமும், அற்புதமும் கொண்டவர். இவரைத் துதித்துப் பாடிக் கொண்டே பாடகர்கள் படைக்கு முன்னால் சென்றார்கள். அவர்கள், “கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள், ஏனென்றால் அவரது அன்பு என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்!” என்று பாடினார்கள்.

அவர் மக்களோடு கருத்துப் பரிமாற்றம் செய்தபின், ஆண்டவரைப் புகழ்ந்து பாடப் பாடகர்களை நியமித்தார். அவர்கள் விழாச் சீருடை அணிந்து படைகளுக்கு முன்னே பாட வேண்டியது:⦃“ஆண்டவரைப் போற்றுங்கள்;§ஏனெனில், அவர்தம் பேரன்பு§என்றுமுளது.”⦄
