மறு வருஷத்திலே சீரியாவின் சேனைகள் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக யூதாவிலும் எருசலேமிலும் வந்து, ஜனத்திலிருக்கிற பிரபுக்களையெல்லாம் அழித்து, கொள்ளையிட்ட அவர்கள் உடைமைகளையெல்லாம் தமஸ்குவின் ராஜாவுக்கு அனுப்பினார்கள்.

ஆண்டு முடிவில், யோவாசுக்கு எதிராக ஆராமியப்படை வந்தது. அவர்கள் யூதாவையும் எருசலேமையும் தாக்கினார்கள். மேலும் அவர்கள் அந்த ஜனங்களின் தலைவர்கள் அனைவரையும் கொன்றார்கள். தமஸ்கு அரசனுக்கு விலையுயர்ந்தப் பொருட்கள் அனைத்தையும் அனுப்பிவைத்தனர்.

அடுத்த ஆண்டு, சிரியாப் படையினர் அவருக்கு எதிராக வந்து, யூதாவிலும் எருசலேமிலும் புகுந்து மக்களின் எல்லாத் தலைவர்களையும் கொன்றழித்தனர். கொள்ளைப் பொருள்கள் அனைத்தையும் தமஸ்கு மன்னனிடம் அனுப்பி வைத்தனர்.
