சீரியாவின் சேனை சிறுகூட்டமாய் வந்திருந்தாலும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டுவிட்டபடியினால், கர்த்தர் மகா பெரிய சேனையை அவர்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்கள் யோவாசுக்கு தண்டனை செய்தார்கள்.

சீரியாவின் படை சிறுகூட்டமாக வந்திருந்தாலும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டுவிட்டதால், கர்த்தர் மகா பெரிய படையை அவர்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்கள் யோவாசுக்கு தண்டனை செய்தார்கள்.

மிகவும் குறைந்த எண்ணிகையுள்ள வீரர்களுடைய குழுவுடனேயே ஆராமியப்படை வந்தது. ஆயினும் அது பெரும் அளவுடைய யூதாவின் படையை வெல்லுமாறு கர்த்தர் அருளினார். யூதாவின் ஜனங்கள் தம் முற்பிதாக்கள் வழிபட்ட தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டு விலகியதால், கர்த்தர் இவ்வாறு செய்தார். எனவே யோவாஸ் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டான்.
