அவன் பலப்பட்டபோது, தனக்குக்கேடுண்டாகுமட்டும், அவனுடைய மனம்மேட்டிமையாகி, தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாக மீறுதல் செய்து தூபபீடத்தின்மேல் தூபங்காட்ட கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் பிரவேசித்தான்.

அவன் பலப்பட்டபோது, தனக்கு அழிவு ஏற்படும் வரை, அவனுடைய மனம் மேட்டிமையாகி, தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாக மீறுதல் செய்து, தூபபீடத்தின்மேல் தூபம் காட்ட கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் பிரவேசித்தான்.

ஆனால் உசியா பலமுள்ளவனாக ஆனதும் அவனது தற்பெருமை அவனுக்கு அழிவை விளைவித்தது. அவன் தனது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு உண்மையுள்ளவனாக இல்லை. அவன் நறுமணப் பொருட்களை எரிக்கும் பலிபீடத்தின் மீது நறுமணப் பொருட்களை எரிப்பதற்காக கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் சென்றான்.

உசியா வலிமைமிக்கவன் ஆனபோது, தான் அழிவுறும் அளவுக்கு ஆணவம் கொண்டான். தன் கடவுளாம் ஆண்டவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், தூபபீடத்தின்மேல் தானே தூபம் காட்ட ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்தில் நுழைந்தான்.
