உசியா தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடந்தபின்பு, ஜனங்கள் அவனைக் குஷ்டரோகியென்று சொல்லி, அவனை அவன் பிதாக்களண்டையில், ராஜாக்களை அடக்கம்பண்ணுகிற இடத்திற்கு அருகான நிலத்திலே அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோதாம் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

உசியா இறந்த பின்பு, மக்கள் அவனைத் தொழுநோயாளியென்று சொல்லி, அவனை அவன் முன்னோர்களுக்கு அருகில், ராஜாக்களை அடக்கம்செய்கிற இடத்திற்கு அருகிலுள்ள நிலத்திலே அடக்கம்செய்தார்கள்; அவன் மகனாகிய யோதாம் அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

Tamil Easy Reading Version
உசியா மரித்ததும் அவனது முற்பிதாக்களோடு அவனும் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். அரசர்களின் கல்லறைகளுக்கு அருகில் உள்ள வயல் வெளிகளில் உசியாவை அடக்கம் செய்தனர். ஜனங்கள், “உசியாவிற்குத் தொழு நோய் இருந்தது” என்றனர் என்பதே இதன் காரணம் யோதாம் புதிய அரசனாக உசியாவின் இடத்தில் அரசேற்றான். யோதாம் உசியாவின் மகன் ஆவான்.

உசியா தன் மூதாதையருடன் துயில்கொண்டான். உசியா ஒரு தொழுநோயாளி என்பதால், அவன் மூதாதையரின் அருகில் அரசர்களுக்குரிய கல்லறை நிலம் ஒன்றில் அவனை அடக்கம் செய்தனர். அவனுக்குப் பிறகு அவன் மகன் யோத்தாம் அரசன் ஆனான்.
