ஆகாஸ் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தில் இருந்து பொருட்களை எடுத்து உடைத்துப் போட்டான் பிறகு அவன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலய கதவுகளை மூடினான். அவன் பலிபீடங்களைச் செய்து எருசலேமின் ஒவ்வொரு தெரு முனையிலும் வைத்தான்.

ஆகாசு கடவுளின் இல்லத்திலிருந்த கலன்களை ஒன்று திரட்டி நொறுக்கினான். பின்னர், ஆண்டவரது இல்லத்தின் கதவுகளை மூடியபின், எருசலேமின் எல்லா மூலைகளிலும் பலிபீடங்களை எழுப்பினான்.
