இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் சகோதரரில் இரண்டு லட்சம்பேராகிய ஸ்திரீகளையும் குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் சிறைபிடித்து, அவர்களுடைய அநேக திரவியங்களைக் கொள்ளையிட்டு, கொள்ளைப்பொருளைச் சமாரியாவுக்கு, கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரர்களில் இரண்டு லட்சம்பேராகிய பெண்களையும் மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் சிறைபிடித்து, அவர்களுடைய அநேக விலையுயர்ந்த பொருட்களைக் கொள்ளையிட்டு, கொள்ளைப்பொருளைச் சமாரியாவுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

இஸ்ரவேலிய படையானது யூதாவில் வாழ்ந்த தம் சொந்த உறவினர்களான 2,00,000 பேரைச் சிறை பிடித்தனர். அவர்கள் பெண்களையும், குழந்தைகளையும் அடிமைகளாகக் கொண்டுசென்றார்கள். அவர்கள் யூதாவிலிருந்து பல விலையுயர்ந்த பொருட்களை அபகரித்துச் சென்றார்கள். அந்த அடிமைகளையும், அப்பொருட்களையும் இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் சமாரிய நகருக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
