ஆசாரியர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்படி உட்புறத்திலே பிரவேசித்து, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் கண்ட சகல அசுத்தத்தையும் வெளியே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயப்பிராகாரத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது லேவியர் அதை எடுத்து, வெளியே கீதரோன் ஆற்றிற்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

ஆசாரியர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தை சுத்திகரிப்பதற்காக உள்ளே பிரவேசித்து, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் கண்ட அனைத்து அசுத்தத்தையும் வெளியே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயப்பிராகாரத்தில் கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது லேவியர்கள் அதை எடுத்து வெளியே கீதரோன் ஆற்றிற்குக் கொண்டு போனார்கள்.

ஆசாரியர்கள் சுத்தம் செய்யும் பொருட்டு ஆலயத்தின் உட்பகுதிக்குள் சென்றனர். அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் கண்ட சுத்தமில்லாத பொருட்கள் அனைத்தையும் வெளியே எடுத்துப்போட்டனர். அவற்றை அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயப் பிரகாரத்தில் கொண்டுவந்து போட்டனர். பிறகு அவை அனைத்தையும் லேவியர்கள் கீதரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்குக்குக் கொண்டுச்சென்றனர்.

ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்தின் உட்புறத்தைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்த குருக்கள் உள்ளே சென்று, திருக்கோவிலில் கண்ட தீட்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் அதன் மண்டபத்திற்குக் கொண்டு வந்தனர். லேவியர் அவற்றை எடுத்துக் கிதரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் கொட்டினர்.
