அப்பொழுது ராஜ்ய பாரத்திற்காகவும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்காகவும் யூதாவுக்காகவும் ஏழு காளைகளையும், ஏழு ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், ஏழு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், எழு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், பாவநிவாரணபலியாகக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவைகளைக் கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் பலியிடுங்கள் என்று அவன் ஆசாரியராகிய ஆரோனின் புத்திரருக்குச் சொன்னான்.

அவர்கள் 7 காளைகளையும், 7 ஆண் ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், 7 ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும் 7 வெள்ளாட்டுக் கடாக்களையும், பாவப்பரிகாரப் பலிக்காகக் கொண்டுவந்தனர். இதன் மூலம் அவர்கள் யூதா அரசாங்கம், பரிசுத்த இடம், யூதா ஜனங்கள் ஆகியோரைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள். கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்தில் இவற்றைப் பலியிடுமாறு ஆசாரியர்களுக்கு எசேக்கியா அரசன் கட்டளையிட்டான். இவ்வாசாரியர்கள் ஆரோனின் சந்ததியினர் ஆவார்கள்.
