பின்பு சாலொமோன் எருசலேமிலே தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுக்குக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்ட மோரியா என்னும் மலையிலே எபூசியனாகிய ஒர்னானின் களம் என்னும் தாவீது குறித்துவைத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டத்துவக்கினான்.

எருசலேமில் உள்ள மோரியா என்னும் மலை மீது கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டும் வேலையை சாலொமோன் ஆரம்பித்தான். மோரியா மலையில்தான் கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனின் தந்தையான தாவீதிற்கு காட்சியளித்தார். தாவீது தயார்செய்து வைத்திருந்த இடத்திலேயே சாலொமோன் ஆலயம் கட்டினான். இந்த இடம் எபூசியனாகிய ஒர்னானின் களத்தில் இருந்தது.

பின்பு, சாலமோன் எருசலேமில் அவர் தந்தை தாவீதுக்கு ஆண்டவர் தோன்றிய மோரியா மலைமேல் எபூசியராகிய ஒர்னானின் களத்தில் ஆண்டவருக்கு ஒர் இல்லம் எழுப்பத் தொடங்கினார். இந்த இடத்தைத் தாவீது ஏற்கெனவே தயார் செய்திருந்தார்.
