மனுஷர் கைவேலையினால் செய்யப்பட்டதும், பூச்சக்கரத்து ஜனங்களால் தொழுதுகொள்ளப்பட்டதுமாயிருக்கிற தேவர்களைக் குறித்துப் பேசுகிறபிரகாரமாக எருசலேமின் தேவனையும் குறித்துப் பேசினார்கள்.

மனிதர்கள் கைவேலையினால் செய்யப்பட்டதும், பூமியிலுள்ள மக்களால் தொழுதுகொள்ளப்பட்டதுமாயிருக்கிற தெய்வங்களைக்குறித்துப் பேசுகிறதுபோல எருசலேமின் தேவனையும்குறித்துப் பேசினார்கள்.

உலக ஜனங்கள் தொழுதுகொண்ட தேவனுக்கு எதிராக அந்த வேலைக்காரர்கள் கெட்ட செய்திகளைக் கூறினார்கள். அந்த தெய்வங்கள் அந்த ஜனங்களின் கைகளால் செய்யப்பட்ட பொருட்கள் மட்டுமே. இதைப்போலவே எருசலேமின் தேவனுக்கும் அதேபோன்ற தீமைகளை அந்த வேலைக்காரர்கள் செய்தார்கள்.

அவர்கள் மனித கைகளினால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட மற்ற நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த மக்களின் தெய்வங்களைப்பற்றி இழிவாகப் பேசியதுபோன்று, எருசலேமின் கடவுளுக்கு எதிராகவும் பேசினர்.⒫
