ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் அசீரியா ராஜாவின் சேனாபதிகளை அவர்கள்மேல் வரப்பண்ணினார்; அவர்கள் மனாசேயை முட்செடிகளில் பிடித்து, இரண்டு வெண்கலச்சங்கிலியால் அவனைக் கட்டிப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

எனவே கர்த்தர் அசீரியா நாட்டு தளபதிகளை அழைத்து வந்து யூதாவைத் தாக்கினார். அந்தத் தளபதிகள் மனாசேயைப் பிடித்து அவனது உடலில் கொக்கிகளை மாட்டினார்கள். அவனது கைகளில் வெண்கலச் சங்கிலிகளைப் போட்டார்கள். அவனைக் கைதியாக பாபிலோனுக்கு கொண்டு போனார்கள்.
