கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்து அந்நிய தேவர்களையும் அந்த விக்கிரகத்தையும் எடுத்துப்போட்டு, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயமுள்ள மலையிலும் எருசலேமிலும் தான் கட்டியிருந்த எல்லா பலிபீடங்களையும் அகற்றி, பட்டணத்திற்குப்புறம்பாகப் போடுவித்து,

கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்து அந்நிய தெய்வங்களையும் அந்த சிலையையும் அகற்றிவிட்டு, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயமுள்ள மலையிலும் எருசலேமிலும் தான் கட்டியிருந்த எல்லாப் பலிபீடங்களையும் அகற்றி, பட்டணத்திற்கு வெளியே போடச் செய்து,

மனாசே அந்நிய தெய்வங்களையும், விக்கிரகங்களையும் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் இருந்து வெளியே எடுத்தான். அவன் எருசலேமிலும், மலை நகரங்களிலும் அமைத்த பலிபீடங்களையும் நீக்கினான். அவன் இவை அனைத்தையும் எருசலேம் நகருக்கு வெளியே தூக்கி எறிந்தான்.

மேலும், வேற்றுத் தெய்வங்களையும் சிலைகளையும் ஆண்டவர் இல்லத்திலிருந்து அகற்றினான்; ஆண்டவரின் இல்ல மலையிலும், எருசலேமிலும் தான் கட்டிய பலிபீடங்களைத் தகர்த்து, அவற்றை நகருக்கு வெளியே வீசியெறிந்தான்.
