அவன் இன்னோம் குமாரரின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே தன் குமாரரைத் தீமிதிக்கப்பண்ணி, நாளும் நிமித்தமும் பார்த்து, பில்லிசூனியங்களை அநுசரித்து, அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் வைத்து, கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக அவர் பார்வைக்கு மிகுதியும் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

அவன் பென் இன்னோம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே தன் மகன்களைத் தகனபலிகளாக தீயிலே பலியிட்டு, நாள் நட்சத்திரம் பார்த்து, பில்லிசூனியங்களை அநுசரித்து, ஜோதிடம் பார்க்கிறவர்களையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் வைத்து, கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக அவர் பார்வைக்கு மிகுதியும் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

மனாசே பென்இன்னோம் பள்ளதாக்கிலே தன் பிள்ளைகளையே நெருப்பில் எரித்து பலி கொடுத்தான். இவன் நிமித்தம், குறிபார்ப்பது, பில்லிசூனியங்களை அனுசரித்து மந்திரவாதிகளையும், குறி சொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் அணுகினான். அவன் கர்த்தர் தவறு என்று சொன்ன பலவற்றைச் செய்தான். மனாசேயின் பாவங்கள் கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபத்தைத் தந்தது.

பென்இன்னோம் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் அவன் தன் புதல்வரை நெருப்பில் சுட்டெரித்துப் பலியாக்கினான்; சகுனம் பார்த்து, குறிகேட்டு, பில்லி சூனியங்களைக் கடைப்பிடித்து, மந்திரவாதிகளுக்கும் மாயவித்தைக்காரர்களுக்கும் புகலிடமளித்து, ஆண்டவரின் திருமுன் மிகவும் தீமையானதைச் செய்து அவருக்குச் சினத்தை உண்டாக்கினான்.
