அவன் தேசத்தையும் ஆலயத்தையும் சுத்திகரித்தபின்பு, அவன் தன் ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் பதினெட்டாம் வருஷத்திலே, அத்சலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய சாப்பானையும், நகரத்தலைவனாகிய மாசெயாவையும், யோவாகாசின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாக் என்னும் மந்திரியையும், தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தைப் பழுதுபார்க்கும்படிக்கு அனுப்பினான்.

அவன் தேசத்தையும் ஆலயத்தையும் தூய்மைப்படுத்தியபின்பு, அவன் தன் அரசாட்சியின் பதினெட்டாம் வருடத்திலே, அத்சலியாவின் மகனாகிய சாப்பானையும், நகரத்தலைவனாகிய மாசெயாவையும், யோவாகாசின் மகனாகிய யோவாக் என்னும் மந்திரியையும், தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தைப் பழுதுபார்ப்பதற்கு அனுப்பினான்.

யோசியா ஆட்சிப்பொறுப்பேற்ற 18வது ஆண்டில், சாப்பான், மாசெயா மற்றும் யோவா ஆகியோரை தனது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தை மீண்டும் கட்டி அமைக்க அனுப்பினான். சாப்பானின் தந்தை பெயர் அத்சலியா. மாசெயா என்பவன் நகரத் தலைவன் ஆவான். யோவாவின் தந்தை பெயர் யோவாகாஸ் ஆகும். நடக்கும் நிகழ்ச்சிகளையெல்லாம் எழுதுபவன் யோவா ஆவான். (அவன் பதிவு செய்பவன்) எனவே யோசியா ஆலயம் பழுது பார்க்கப்படவேண்டும் என்று கட்டளையிட்டான். அதன் மூலம் யூதாவையும், ஆலயத்தையும் சுத்தப்படுத்தலாம் என்று நம்பினான்.

இவ்வாறு, நாட்டைத் தூய்மையாக்கிய அவர்தம் ஆட்சியின் பதினெட்டாம் ஆண்டில் அவர்தம் கடவுளாம் ஆண்டவரின் இல்லத்தைச் செப்பனிட அட்லியா மகன் சாப்பான், நகரின் ஆளுநர் மாசேயா, பதிவாளர் யோவாகு ஆகியோரை அனுப்பினார்.
