இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாம் உபதேசிக்கிறவர்களும், கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டவர்களுமாகிய லேவியரை நோக்கி: பரிசுத்தப் பெட்டியைத் தாவீதின் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோன் என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா கட்டின ஆலயத்திலே வையுங்கள்; தோளின்மேல் அதைச் சுமக்கும் பாரம் உங்களுக்குரியதல்ல; இப்போது நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கும், அவருடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கும் ஊழியஞ்செய்து,

யோசியா லேவியர்களோடு பேசினார். அந்த லேவியர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிறவர்கள். கர்த்தருக்குச் செய்யும் சேவைகளால் பரிசத்தமானவர்களாக ஆக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். அவன் அவர்களிடம், “சாலொமோன் கட்டிய ஆலயத்தில் பரிசுத்தப் பெட்டியை வையுங்கள். சாலொமோன் தாவீதின் மகன். தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலின் அரசனாக இருந்தான். மீண்டும் நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தப் பெட்டியை உங்கள் தோளில் சுமந்து இடம்விட்டு இடம் அலையாதீர்கள். இப்போது உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குச் சேவை செய்யுங்கள். தேவனுடைய ஜனங்களான இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்குச் சேவை செய்யுங்கள்.
