தேவன் மெய்யாக மனுஷரோடே பூமியிலே வாசம்பண்ணுவாரோ? இதோ, வானங்களும், வானாதி வானங்களும் உம்மைக் கொள்ளாதே; நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயம் எம்மாத்திரம்?

“ஆனால் தேவனாகிய நீர் உண்மையில் ஜனங்களோடு பூமியில் வசிக்கமாட்டீர் என்பதை நாங்கள் அறிவோம். பரலோகமும் அதற்கு மேலானதும் கூட உம்மை கட்டுப்படுத்த முடியாது. நான் கட்டியுள்ள இந்த ஆலயமும் கூட உம்மை வைத்திருக்காது என்பதை அறிவோம்.

கடவுள் உண்மையாகவே மனிதரோடு மண்ணில் வாழ்வது நம்பக்கூடியதா? விண்ணும் விண்விரிவும் உம்மைக் கொள்ளாதிருக்க, நான் கட்டியுள்ள இந்தக் கோவில் உம்மை எவ்வாறு கொள்ளக்கூடும்?
