அக்கினி இறங்குகிறதையும், கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை ஆலயத்தின்மேல் தங்கியிருக்கிறதையும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எல்லாரும் கண்டபோது, தளவரிசைமட்டும் தரையிலே முகங்குப்புறக் குனிந்துபணிந்து, கர்த்தர் நல்லவர், அவருடைய கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது என்று சொல்லி, அவரைத் துதித்தார்கள்.

வானுலகத்திலிருந்து அக்கினி இறங்கி வருவதை இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் பார்த்தார்கள். அந்த ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை ஆலயத்திற்குள் நிரம்பியிருப்பதையும் பார்த்தனர். அவர்கள் தரையில் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து தொழுது கொண்டு கர்த்தருக்கு நன்றி சொன்னார்கள். அவர்கள், “கர்த்தர் நல்லவர். அவரது கிருபை என்றென்றைக்கும் தொடர்கிறது” என்றனர்.

நெருப்பு இறங்குவதையும், ஆண்டவரின் மாட்சி கோவிலில் இருப்பதையும் இஸ்ரயேலின் மக்கள் அனைவரும் கண்டபோது, தரையில் முகம் குப்புற வீழ்ந்து வழிபட்டனர்; “ஆண்டவர் நல்லவர்; அவரது பேரன்பு என்றென்றும் உள்ளது” என்று அவருக்கு நன்றி கூறினர்.
