அன்றியும் நீங்கள் துக்கப்படும்படிக்கு எழுதாமல், உங்கள்மேல் நான் வைத்த அன்பின் மிகுதியை நீங்கள் அறியும்படிக்கே, மிகுந்த வியாகுலமும் மன இடுக்கமும் அடைந்தவனாய் அதிகக் கண்ணீரோடே உங்களுக்கு எழுதினேன்.

அன்றியும், நீங்கள் துக்கப்படுவதற்காக எழுதாமல், உங்கள்மேல் நான் வைத்த அன்பின் அளவை நீங்கள் தெரிந்துகொள்வதற்காகவே, அதிக வியாகுலமும் மனவருத்தமும் அடைந்தவனாக அதிகக் கண்ணீரோடு உங்களுக்கு எழுதினேன்.

நான் இதற்கு முன்பு உங்களுக்கு எழுதும்போது மனதில் தொல்லைகளையும், துயரங்களையும் கொண்டிருந்தேன். நான் என் கண்ணீராலேயே எழுதினேன். உங்களைத் துயரப்படுத்த வேண்டுமென்று அதை எழுதவில்லை. உங்கள் மீதுள்ள என் அளவற்ற அன்பை நீங்கள் புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டுமென அவ்வாறு எழுதினேன்.

நான் மிகுந்த வேதனையோடும் மனக்கவலையோடும் கலங்கிய கண்களோடும் அதை உங்களுக்கு எழுதினேன். உங்களுக்கு மனவருத்தம் தரவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக அல்ல, மாறாக நான் உங்கள் மேல் கொண்டுள்ள மிகுந்த அன்பை நீங்கள் உணரவேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே அவ்வாறு எழுதினேன்.
