மூத்த மகனாகிய ஏசாவின் வார்த்தைகள் ரெபெக்காளுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது; அப்பொழுது அவள் தன் இளைய மகனாகிய யாக்கோபை அழைத்து: உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஏசா உன்னைக் கொன்றுபோட நினைத்து, தன்னைத் தேற்றிக்கொள்ளுகிறான்.

நீரும் நானும் பேசிக்கொண்ட காரியத்திற்கு, இதோ, கர்த்தர் எனக்கும் உமக்கும் என்றைக்கும் நடுநிற்கும் சாட்சி என்றான்.

சுவிசேஷத்தைக்குறித்து அவர்கள் உங்கள்நிமித்தம் பகைஞராயிருக்கிறார்கள்; தெரிந்துகொள்ளுதலைக்குறித்து அவர்கள் பிதாக்களினிமித்தம் அன்புகூரப்பட்டவர்களாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

தங்கள் உபகாரத்தையும், பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்குச் செய்யப்படும் தர்மஊழியத்தின் பங்கையும் நாங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படி அவர்கள் எங்களை மிகவும் வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

இந்தத் தர்மசகாயமாகிய பணிவிடை பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய குறைவுகளை நீக்குகிறதுமல்லாமல், அநேகர் தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரிப்பதினாலே சம்பூரணபலனுள்ளதாயும் இருக்கும்.

தரித்திரரை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளும்படிக்குமாத்திரம் சொன்னார்கள்; அப்படிச் செய்யும்படி அதற்கு முன்னமே நானும் கருத்துள்ளவனாயிருந்தேன்.

ஆகையால் நமக்குக் கிடைக்கும் சமயத்திற்குத்தக்கதாக, யாவருக்கும், விசேஷமாக விசுவாச குடும்பத்தார்களுக்கும், நன்மைசெய்யக்கடவோம்.

நான் எட்டாம் நாளில் விருத்தசேதனமடைந்தவன், இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தான், பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தான், எபிரெயரில் பிறந்த எபிரெயன், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி பரிசேயன்;
