அப்பொழுது யோய்தா, அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஜனமாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, ராஜாவும் ஜனங்களும் கர்த்தரோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணவும், ராஜாவும் ஜனங்களும் ஒருவரோடொருவர் உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணவும் செய்து,

பிறகு கர்த்தருக்கும் அரசனுக்கும் ஜனங்களுக்கும் இடையில் யோய்தா ஒரு ஒப்பந்தம் செய்தான். இதன்படி அரசனும் ஜனங்களும் கர்த்தருக்கு உரியவர்கள். பின் யோய்தா அரசனுக்கும் ஜனங்களுக்கும் இடையில் ஓர் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்தான். அதன்படி அரசன் ஜனங்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்ய வேண்டும், ஜனங்களும் அரசனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து வாழவேண்டும்.

இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பர் எல்லாரும் எப்ரோனில் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்; தாவீதுராஜா எப்ரோனிலே கர்த்தருக்குமுன்பாக அவர்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணினபின்பு, அவர்கள் தாவீதை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

யோசுவா 24:25

சாமுவேல் ராஜாங்கத்தின் முறையை ஜனங்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்து, அதை ஒரு புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதி, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வைத்து, ஜனங்களையெல்லாம் அவரவர் வீட்டுக்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டான்.

ஓரேபிலே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே பண்ணிக்கொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையை அல்லாமல், மோவாபின் தேசத்திலே அவர்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணிக் கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட வார்த்தைகள் இவைகளே.

ஏழாம் வருஷத்திலே யோய்தா நூறு பேருக்கு அதிபதிகளையும் தலைவரையும் காவலாளரையும் அழைப்பித்து, அவர்களைத் தன்னிடத்தில் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலே வரச்சொல்லி, அவர்களோடு உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணி, அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலே ஆணையிடுவித்துக் கொண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு ராஜாவின் குமாரனைக் காண்பித்து,

1 நாளாகமம் 11:3

அப்படியே இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பரெல்லாரும் எப்ரோனிலே ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்; தாவீது எப்ரோனிலே கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக அவர்களோடு உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணிக்கொண்டபின்பு, கர்த்தர் சாமுவேலைக்கொண்டு சொன்ன வார்த்தையின்படியே அவர்கள் தாவீதை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது யோய்தா தாங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஜனமாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, தானும் சகல ஜனங்களும் ராஜாவும் உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணிக்கொள்ளும்படி செய்தான்.
