தன் பிதாக்கள் செய்ததுபோல, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

தன் முன்னோர்கள் செய்ததுபோல, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவம்செய்யவைத்த நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களைவிட்டு அவன் விலகவில்லை.

கர்த்தரால் தவறானவை என்று சொல்லப்பட்ட அனைத்துக் காரியங்களையும் சகரியா செய்தான். அவன் தன் முற்பிதாக்கள் செய்த பாவங்களையே செய்தான். இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப் பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை அவன் நிறுத்தவில்லை.

அவனும் தன் மூதாதையர் செய்தது போல் ஆண்டவரின் பார்வையில் தீயதெனப்பட்டதைச் செய்தான். இஸ்ரயேலைப் பாவத்திற்கு உள்ளாக்கிய நெபாற்றின் மகன் எரொபவாமின் பாவ வழியை விட்டு அவன் விலகவில்லை.
