ஆகாஸ் அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசரிடத்திற்கு ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பி: நான் உம்முடைய அடியானும் உம்முடைய குமாரனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; நீர் வந்து, எனக்கு விரோதமாயெழும்பின சீரியா ராஜாவின் கைக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாவின் கைக்கும் என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிடும் என்று சொல்லச்சொல்லி;

ஆகாஸ் அசீரியாவின் அரசனான திகிலாத்பிலேசரிடம் தூதுவனை அனுப்பினான். “நான் உங்கள் சேவகன். நான் உங்களுக்கு மகனைப் போன்றவன். என்னை ஆராம் அரசனிடமிருந்தும் இஸ்ரவேல் அரசனிடமிருந்தும் வந்து காப்பாற்றுங்கள். அவர்கள் என்னோடு போர் செய்ய வருகிறார்கள்!” என்று தூதுவிட்டான்.

எனவே, ஆகாசு அசீரிய மன்னன் திக்லத் பிலேசரிடம் தூதனுப்பி “நான் உம் பணியாளன்; உம் மகன், நீர் புறப்பட்டு வந்து என்னை முற்றுகையிட்டிருக்கும் சிரியா மன்னன் கையினின்றும் இஸ்ரயேல் அரசன் கையினின்றும் விடுவிப்பீர்” என்று சொன்னான்.
