தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் புத்திரரில் ஐம்பதுபேர் போய், தூரத்திலே பார்த்துக்கொண்டு நின்றார்கள்; அவர்கள் இருவரும் யோர்தான் கரையிலே நின்றார்கள்.

அங்கே 50 பேர்கள் அடங்கிய தீர்க்கதரிசி குழு அவர்களைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து வந்தது. எலியாவும் எலிசாவும் யோர்தான் ஆற்றின் அருகில் நின்றார்கள். அவர்கள் நின்ற இடத்தை நோக்கியபடி மற்ற 50 பேர்களும் அவர்களிடம் இருந்து விலகி தூரத்தில் நின்றார்கள்.
