யூதாவின் ராஜாக்கள் உண்டாக்கினதும், ஆகாசுடைய மேல்வீட்டில் இருந்ததுமான பலிபீடங்களையும், மனாசே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் இரண்டு பிராகாரங்களிலும் உண்டாக்கின பலிபீடங்களையும் ராஜா இடித்து, அவைகளின்; தூளை அங்கேயிருந்து எடுத்துக் கீதரோன் ஆற்றில் கொட்டினான்.

முன்பு, யூத அரசர்கள் ஆகாப் கட்டிடத்தின் கூரைமீது பலிபீடங்களைக் கட்டியிருந்தார்கள். மனாசேயும் கர்த்தருடைய இரு ஆலய முற்றத்திலும் பலிபீடங்களைக் கட்டியிருந்தான். யோசியா இப்பலிபீடங்கள் அனைத்தையும் அழித்து அவற்றின் துண்டுகளையும் தூளையும் கீதரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் எறிந்தான்.
