பூர்வகாலத்தில் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையினாலே வானங்களும், உலகத்தினின்று தோன்றி ஜலத்தினாலே நிலைகொண்டிருக்கிற பூமியும் உணடாயினவென்பதையும்,

ஆனால் அவர்கள் இந்த எண்ணத்தைத் தக்கவைத்துக்கொள்ளும்போது, நெடுங்காலத்திற்கு முன் நடந்ததை அவர்கள் மறந்துவிடுகிறார்கள். நெடுங்காலத்திற்கு முன்பு வானங்கள் இருந்தன. பூமி இருந்தது, தண்ணீருக்கு வெளியே, தண்ணீரின் மூலமாகவே, பூமி வெளிப்படும்படி தேவன் உருவாக்கினார்.

திருவிவிலியம்
பழங்காலத்திலிருந்தே கடவுளுடைய வார்த்தையால் விண்ணுலகும் மண்ணுலகும் தோன்றின. மண்ணுலகம் நீரிலிருந்தும் நீராலும் நிலைபெற்றிருந்தது என்பதை இவர்கள் வேண்டுமென்றே மறந்து விடுகிறார்கள்.
