அந்த வாலிபன் நான் தற்செயலாய்க் கில்போவா மலைக்குப் போனேன்; அப்பொழுது இதோ, சவுல் தம்முடைய ஈட்டியின்மேல் சாய்ந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்; இரதங்களும் குதிரைவீரரும் அவரைத் தொடர்ந்து நெருங்கினார்கள்.

அந்த இளம் வீரன், “நான் கில்போவா மலைக்குப் போயிருந்தேன். சவுல் தனது ஈட்டியில் சொருகிச் சாய்ந்துக்கொண்டிருப்பதைப் பார்த்தேன். பெலிஸ்தியரின் தேர்களும் குதிரை வீரர்களும் சவுலுக்கு அருகில் நெருங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர்.
