அப்பொழுது தாவீது அந்த ஆளை நோக்கி: நீ யோவாபினிடத்தில் போய், இந்தக் காரியத்தைப்பற்றி விசாரப்படவேண்டாம்; பட்டயம் ஒருவேளை ஒருவனையும், ஒருவேளை மற்றொருவனையும் பட்சிக்கும்; நீ யுத்தத்தைப் பலக்கப்பண்ணி பட்டணத்தை இடித்துப்போடு என்று அவனுக்குத் திடஞ்சொல் என்றான்.
