வம்சத்தார் எல்லாரும் உம்முடைய அடியாளுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்பி, தன் சகோதரரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டவனை ஒப்பி; அவன் கொன்ற அவன் சகோதரனுடைய பிராணனுக்காக நாங்கள் அவனைக் கொன்றுபோடுவோம்; சுதந்தரவாளனாயினும் அவனையும் அழித்துப்போடுவோம் என்கிறார்கள். இப்படி என் புருஷனுக்குப் பேரும் நீதியும் பூமியின்மேல் வைக்கப்படாதபடிக்கு, எனக்கு இன்னும் மீதியாயிருக்கிற பொறியையும் அவித்துப்போட மனதாயிருக்கிறார்கள் என்றாள்.

வம்சத்தார்கள் எல்லோரும் உம்முடைய அடியாளுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பி, தன்னுடைய சகோதரனைக் கொன்று போட்டவனை எங்களிடம் ஒப்புவி; அவன் கொன்ற அவனுடைய சகோதரனுடைய உயிருக்காக நாங்கள் அவனைக் கொன்றுபோடுவோம்; ஒரே வாரிசாக இருந்தாலும் அவனையும் அழித்துப்போடுவோம் என்கிறார்கள். இப்படி என் கணவனின் பெயரும் நீதியும் பூமியின்மேல் வைக்கப்படாதபடி, எனக்கு இன்னும் மீதியாக இருக்கிற கடைசியாக எரிகிற சிறு நெருப்பையும் அணைத்துப்போட மனதாக இருக்கிறார்கள் என்றாள்.

இப்போது எனது குடும்பத்தார் எனக்கு விரோதிகளாயிருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் என்னை நோக்கி, ‘சகோதரனைக் கொன்ற உனது மகனை அழைத்து வா, நாங்கள் அவனைக் கொல்லவேண்டும். ஏனெனில் அவன் தனது சகோதரனைக் கொன்றிருக்கிறான்’ என்றனர். எனது மகன் நெருப்பில் மீந்திருக்கும் கடைசி கரிநெருப்பைப் போன்றவன். அவன் மரித்தால் எங்கள் குடும்ப விளக்கு அணைந்துவிடும். தந்தையின் சொத்தை சுதந்தரிக்கும்படி பிழைத்திருக்கும் ஒரே மகன் அவனே. அவன் மரித்தால் மரித்துப்போன எனது கணவனின் சொத்துக்கள் வேறொருவருக்குச் சொந்தமாகும். அவனது பெயரும் தேசத்தில் இல்லாதபடி அழிந்துப்போகும்” என்றாள்.

இதோ! உம் அடியவளுக்கு எதிராக என் குடும்பத்தார் அனைவரும் எழும்பி, ‘தன் சகோதரனைக் கொன்றவனைக் கொடுத்து விடு. அவன் சகோதரனின் உயிருக்காக நாங்கள் அவனைக் கொல்ல வேண்டும்’, என்று கூறுகின்றனர். இவ்வாறு, அவர்கள் எனக்கு இருக்கும் ஒரு வாரிசையும் அவர்கள் அழித்து எனக்கு எஞ்சியுள்ள ஒளியையும் அணைத்து, இவ்வுலகில் என் கணவனுக்குப் பெயரும் வழிமரபும் இல்லாமல் செய்து விடுவார்கள்” என்று அவள் சொன்னாள்.⒫
