பின்னும் தாவீது அபிசாயையும் தன் ஊழியக்காரர் எல்லாரையும் பார்த்து: இதோ, என் கர்ப்பப்பிறப்பான என் குமாரனே என் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடும்போது, இந்தப் பென்யமீனன் எத்தனை அதிகமாய்ச் செய்வான், அவன் தூஷிக்கட்டும்; அப்படிச் செய்ய கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறார்.

பின்னும் தாவீது அபிசாயையும் தன்னுடைய வேலைக்காரர்கள் எல்லோரையும் பார்த்து: இதோ, என்னுடைய கர்ப்பத்தின் பிறப்பான என்னுடைய மகனே என்னுடைய உயிரை எடுக்கத் தேடும்போது, இந்தப் பென்யமீனன் எத்தனை அதிகமாகச் செய்வான், அவன் சபிக்கட்டும்; அப்படிச் செய்ய கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறார்.

தாவீது அபிசாயிடமும் அவனது பணியாட்களிடமும், “இங்கே பாருங்கள், என் சொந்த மகனான அப்சலோம் என்னைக் கொல்ல முயல்கிறான். சீமேயி என்ற பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து வந்தவன் என்னைக் கொல்ல அதிக உரிமையுடைவன். அவன் அதைச் செய்யட்டும். அவன் தீய வார்த்தைகளைச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருக்கட்டும். கர்த்தர் அவ்வாறு செய்ய அவனிடம் கூறியுள்ளார்.

மீண்டும் தாவீது அபிசாயிடமும் தம் பணியாளர் அனைவரிடமும் கூறியது: “இதோ! எனக்குப் பிறந்த என் மகனே என் உயிரைப் பறிக்கத் தேடுகிறான். பென்யமின் குலத்தைச் சார்ந்த இவன் செய்யலாகாதோ? அவனை விட்டுவிடு! அவன் பழிக்கட்டும்! ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவரே அவனைத் தூண்டியுள்ளார்.
