அப்படியே அப்சலோமுக்கு உப்பரிகையின்மேல் ஒரு கூடாரத்தைப் போட்டார்கள்: அங்கே அப்சலோம் சகல இஸ்ரவேலரின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக, தன் தகப்பனுடைய மறுமனையாட்டிகளிடத்தில் பிரவேசித்தான்.

பின்பு அவர்கள் அப்சலோமிற்காக வீட்டின் மாடியின் மீது ஒரு கூடாரத்தை அமைத்தனர். அப்சலோம் தன் தந்தையின் மனைவியரோடு பாலின உறவுக்கொண்டான். இஸ்ரவேலர் அதனைப் பார்த்தனர்.

அப்சலோமுக்காக மாடியில் ஒரு கூடாரம் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. இஸ்ரயேலர் அனைவரும் அறிய, அப்சலோம் தன் தந்தையின் வைப்பாட்டியரோடு உறவு கொண்டான்.⒫
