ராஜா யோவாபையும், அபிசாயையும், ஈத்தாயையும் நோக்கி: பிள்ளையாண்டானாகிய அப்சலோமை என்னிமித்தம் மெதுவாய் நடப்பியுங்கள் என்று கட்டளையிட்டான்; இப்படி ராஜா அப்சலோமைக்குறித்து அதிபதிகளுக்கெல்லாம் கட்டளையிட்டதை ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் கேட்டிருந்தார்கள்.

ராஜா யோவாபையும், அபிசாயையும், ஈத்தாயையும் நோக்கி: வாலிபனான அப்சலோமை எனக்காக மெதுவாக நடத்துங்கள் என்று கட்டளையிட்டான்; இப்படி ராஜா அப்சலோமைக் குறித்து தலைவர்களுக்கெல்லாம் கட்டளையிட்டதை மக்கள் எல்லோரும் கேட்டிருந்தார்கள்.

யோவாப், அபிசாயி, ஈத்தாய் ஆகியோருக்கு அரசன் ஒரு கட்டளையிட்டான். அவன், “இதை எனக்காகச் செய்யுங்கள் அப்சலோமிடம் மென்மையாய் நடந்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்றான். ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் அப்சலோமைக் குறித்து படைத் தலைவர்களுக்கு அரசன் இட்ட கட்டளையைக் கேட்டார்கள்.

“என் பொருட்டு அந்த இளைஞன் அப்சலோமுக்குத் தீங்கிழைக்க வேண்டாம்” என்று யோவாபு, அபிசாய், இத்தாய் ஆகியோருக்கு அரசர் கட்டளையிட்டார். எல்லாப் படைத்தலைவருக்கும் அரசர் கட்டளையிட்டதை வீரர்கள் அனைவரும் கேட்டார்கள்.⒫
