தேவதூதன் எருசலேமை அழிக்கத்தன் கையை அதின்மேல் நீட்டிபோது, கர்த்தர் அந்தத் தீங்குக்கு மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு, ஜனங்களைச் சங்கரிக்கிற தூதனை நோக்கி: போதும், இப்போது உன் கையை நிறுத்து என்றார்; அந்த வேளையில் கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் எபூசியனாகியா அர்வனாவின் போரடிக்கிற களத்திற்கு நேரே இருந்தான்.

தேவதூதன் எருசலேமை அழிக்கத் தன்னுடைய கையை அதின்மேல் நீட்டினபோது, கர்த்தர் அந்தத் தீங்குக்கு மனவேதனையடைந்து, மக்களை அழிக்கிற தூதனை நோக்கி: போதும், இப்போது உன்னுடைய கையை நிறுத்து என்றார்; அந்த வேளையில் கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் எபூசியனான அர்வனாவினுடைய போரடிக்கிற களத்திற்கு நேராக இருந்தான்.

Tamil Easy Reading Version
தேவ தூதன் எருசலேமை அழிக்கும்படி அதற்கு நேராக தன் கரங்களை உயர்த்தினான். ஆனால் நடந்த தீய காரியங்களுக்காக கர்த்தர் மனம் வருந்தினார். ஜனங்களை அழித்த தூதனைக் கர்த்தர் நோக்கி, “போதும்! உனது கரங்களைத் தாழ்த்து” என்றார். எபூசியனாகிய அர்வனாவின் போரடிக்கிற களத்திற்கு அருகே கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் நின்றுக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.

வானதூதர் எருசலேமை அழிப்பதற்காக அதன்மீது தம் கையை ஓங்கினார். ஆண்டவர் அத்தீமையைக் குறித்து மனம் வருந்தி மக்களை அழித்துக்கொண்டிருந்த வானதூதரை நோக்கி, “போதும்! உன் கையைக் கீழே போடு” என்றார். அப்போது ஆண்டவரின் தூதர், எபூசியன் அரவுனாவின் போரடிக்கும் களத்தருகே இருந்தார்.⒫
