கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டி தாவீதின் நகரத்திற்குள் பிரவேசிக்கிறபோது, சவுலின் குமாரத்தியாகிய மீகாள் பலகணிவழியாய்ப் பார்த்து, தாவீதுராஜா கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகக் குதித்து, நடனம்பண்ணுகிறதைக் கண்டு, தன் இருதயத்திலே அவனை அவமதித்தாள்.

கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டி தாவீதின் நகரத்திற்குள் நுழைகிறபோது, சவுலின் மகளான மீகாள் ஜன்னல் வழியாகப் பார்த்து, தாவீது ராஜா கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகக் குதித்து நடனம் செய்கிறதைக் கண்டு, தன்னுடைய இருதயத்திலே அவனை அவமதித்தாள்.

சவுலின் மகள் மீகாள் ஜன்னல் வழியாய் இதைப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தாள். கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தப் பெட்டி நகரத்திற்குள் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டபோது, கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக தாவீது பாடி நடனம் ஆடிக்கொண்டிருந்தான். மீகாள் தாவீதைப் பார்த்து தன் மனதிற்குள் அவனை இகழ்ந்தாள். அவன் தன்னைத் தானே தரக்குறை வாக்கிக்கொள்கிறான் என்று அவள் நினைத்தாள்.

ஆண்டவரின் பேழை தாவீதின் நகரை அடைந்தபோது, சவுலின் மகள் மீக்கால் பலகணி வழியாகப் பார்த்தாள். அரசர் தாவீது ஆண்டவர் முன்பு குதித்து ஆடிக் கொண்டிருப்பதைக் கண்டு அவரைத் தன் உள்ளத்தில் வெறுத்தாள்.
