கர்த்தர் எல்லாத் தீமையினின்றும் என்னை இரட்சித்து, தம்முடைய பரம ராஜ்யத்தை அடையும்படி காப்பாற்றுவார்; அவருக்குச் சதாகாலங்களிலும் மகிமை உண்டாவதாக. ஆமென்.

கர்த்தரோ எனக்குத் துணையாக நின்று, என்னாலே பிரசங்கம் நிறைவேறுகிறதற்காகவும், யூதரல்லாத எல்லோரும் கேட்கிறதற்காகவும், என்னைப் பலப்படுத்தினார்; சிங்கத்தின் வாயிலிருந்தும் நான் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டேன்.

ஆனால் கர்த்தர் என்னோடு இருந்தார். அவர் எனக்கு பலம் தந்தார். இவ்வகையில் நற்செய்தியைப் போதிக்கும் என் வேலை முழுமையாக நடைபெறும். யூதர் அல்லாதவர்கள் அனைவரும் நற்செய்தியைக் கேட்கவேண்டும் என்று கர்த்தரும் விரும்பினார். நான் சிங்கத்தின் வாயில் விழாமல் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டேன்.

திருவிவிலியம்
நான் அறிவித்த செய்தி நிறைவுற்று, அனைத்து நாட்டவரும் அதனைக் கேட்க வேண்டுமென்று ஆண்டவர் என் பக்கம் நின்று எனக்கு வலுவூட்டினார்; சிங்கத்தின் வாயிலிருந்தும் என்னை விடுவித்தார்.

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
