பேதுருவுக்குத் தெளிவு வந்தபோது: ஏரோதின் கைக்கும் யூதஜனங்களின் எண்ணங்களுக்கும் என்னை விடுதலையாக்கும்படிக்குக் கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய தூதனை அனுப்பினாரென்று நான் இப்பொழுது மெய்யாய் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன் என்றான்.

பேதுருவிற்குத் தெளிவு வந்தபோது: ஏரோதின் கைக்கும் யூதமக்களின் எண்ணங்களுக்கும் என்னை விடுதலையாக்கும்படி கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய தூதனை அனுப்பினாரென்று நான் இப்பொழுது உண்மையாக புரிந்துகொண்டேன் என்றான்.

நடந்தது என்னவென்பதைப் பேதுரு அப்போது உணர்ந்தான். அவன், “கர்த்தர் உண்மையாகவே தனது தேவதூதனை என்னிடம் அனுப்பினார் என்பதை நான் அறிவேன். ஏரோதிடமிருந்து அவன் என்னை விடுவித்தான். தீமை எனக்கு நேருமென்று யூதர்கள் எண்ணினர். ஆனால் கர்த்தர் இவற்றிலிருந்து என்னைக் காத்தார்” என்று எண்ணினான்.

பேதுரு தன்னுணர்வு பெற்றபோது, “ஆண்டவர் தம் வானதூதரை அனுப்பி ஏரோதின் கையிலிருந்து என்னை விடுவித்து, யூத மக்கள் எதிர்பார்த்த எதுவும் நிகழாதவாறு என்னைக் காத்தார் என்று நான் உண்மையாகவே அறிந்துகொண்டேன்” என்றார்.
