இக்கோனியா பட்டணத்திலே அவர்கள் இருவரும் யூதருடைய ஜெபஆலயத்தில் பிரவேசித்து, யூதரிலும் கிரேக்கரிலும் திரளான ஜனங்கள் விசுவாசிக்கத்தக்கதாகப் பிரசங்கித்தார்கள்.

பவுலும் பர்னபாவும் இக்கோனியம் நகரத்திற்குச் சென்றனர். அவர்கள் யூத ஜெப ஆலயத்திற்குச் சென்றனர். (இதைத் தான் அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொரு நகரத்திலும் செய்தனர்) அவர்கள் அங்குள்ள மக்களிடம் பேசினர். பவுலும் பர்னபாவும் பேசின விதத்தில் பல யூதர்களும், கிரேக்கர்களும் அவர்கள் கூறியதை முழுமையாக நம்பினர்.
