அப்பொழுது தியத்தீரா ஊராளும் இரத்தாம்பரம் விற்கிறவளும் தேவனை வணங்குகிறவளுமாகிய லீதியாள் என்னும் பேருள்ள ஒரு ஸ்திரீ கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தாள்; பவுல் சொல்லியவைகளைக் கவனிக்கும்படி கர்த்தர் அவள் இருதயத்தைத் திறந்தருளினார்.

அப்பொழுது தியத்தீரா ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த விலையுயர்ந்த சிவப்பு கம்பளம் விற்கிறவளும் தேவனை வணங்குகிறவளுமாகிய லீதியாள் என்னும் பெயருள்ள ஒரு பெண் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தாள்; பவுல் சொன்னவைகளைக் கவனிப்பதற்காக கர்த்தர் அவள் இருதயத்தைத் திறந்தார்.

தியத்தீரா என்னும் நகரிலுள்ள லீதியாள் என்னும் பெண்மணி அங்கிருந்தாள். ஊதாநிற பட்டு ஆடைகளை விற்பதே அவளது தொழில். அவள் உண்மையான தேவனை வழிபட்டாள். அவள் பவுலைக் கவனித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தாள். கர்த்தர் அவளது இருதயத்தைத் திறந்து பவுல் சொன்னவற்றை ஒப்புக்கொள்ளச் செய்தார். அவள் பவுல் கூறியவற்றை நம்பினாள்.

அங்குத் தியத்திரா நகரைச் சேர்ந்த பெண் ஒருவர் நாங்கள் பேசியதைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அவர் பெயர் லீதியா. செந்நிற ஆடைகளை விற்பவரான அவர் கடவுளை வழிபட்டுவந்தார். பவுல் பேசியதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுமாறு ஆண்டவர் அவர் உள்ளத்தைத் திறந்தார்.
