அவனைப் பவுல் தன்னுடனே கூட்டிக்கொண்டு போகவேண்டுமென்று விரும்பி, அவனுடைய தகப்பன் கிரேக்கன் என்று அவ்விடங்களிலிருக்கும் யூதர்களெல்லாம் அறிந்திருந்தபடியால், அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் அவனுக்கு விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணினான்.

அவனைப் பவுல் தன்னோடுகூட கூட்டிக்கொண்டு போகவேண்டுமென்று விரும்பி, அவனுடைய தகப்பன் கிரேக்கன் என்று அங்கிருந்த யூதர்களெல்லோருக்கும் தெரிந்திருந்தபடியால், அவர்களின் பொருட்டு அவனுக்கு விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணினான்.

தீமோத்தேயு தன்னுடன் பயணம் செய்ய பவுல் விரும்பினான். அப்பகுதியில் வசித்த எல்லா யூதர்களும் தீமோத்தேயுவின் தந்தை கிரேக்கன் என்பதை அறிந்திருந்தார்கள். ஆகவே பவுல் தீமோத்தேயுவிற்கு விருத்தசேதனம் செய்வித்தான்.

பவுல் அவரைத் தம்முடன் கூட்டிச்செல்ல விரும்பினார். அவ்விடங்களிலுள்ள யூதரின் பொருட்டு அவருக்கு விருத்தசேதனம் செய்வித்தார். ஏனெனில், அனைவரும் அவருடைய தந்தை கிரேக்கர் என்று அறிந்திருந்தனர்.
