அவன் யூதனென்று அவர்கள் அறிந்தபோது, எபேசியருடைய தியானாளே பெரியவள் என்று இரண்டுமணி நேரமளவும் எல்லாரும் ஏகமாய்ச் சத்தமிட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

அலெக்ஸாண்டர் ஒரு யூதன் என்பதை மக்கள் அடையாளம் கண்டபோது அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் உரத்த குரலில் கூச்சலிட ஆரம்பித்தனர். சுமார் இரண்டு மணி நேரம் அவர்கள் தொடர்ந்து கூச்சலிட்டனர். மக்கள் “எபேசுவின் ஆர்தமிஸ் பெருமை பொருந்தியவள்! எபேசுவின் ஆர்தமிஸ் பெருமை மிக்கவள்! ஆர்தமிஸ் பெரியவள்!” என்றனர்.
