இவைகள் முடிந்தபின்பு, பவுல் மக்கதோனியா அகாயா என்னும் நாடுகளில் சுற்றிநடந்து, எருசலேமுக்குப்போகும்படி ஆவியில் நிருணயம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டு: நான் அங்கே போனபின்பு ரோமாபுரியையும் பார்க்கவேண்டியதென்று சொல்லி,

முதிர்வயதினால் இஸ்ரவேலின் கண்கள் மங்கலாயிருந்தபடியால், அவன் நன்றாய்ப் பார்க்கக் கூடாதிருந்தது. அவர்களை அவனண்டையிலே சேரப்பண்ணினான்; அப்பொழுது அவன் அவர்களை முத்தஞ்செய்து அணைத்துக்கொண்டான்.

பிள்ளையாண்டான் போனபின்பு, தாவீது தென்புறமான இடத்திலிருந்து எழுந்துவந்து, தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து, மூன்றுவிசை வணங்கினான்; அவர்கள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் முத்தஞ்செய்து அழுதார்கள்; தாவீது மிகவும் அழுதான்.

அவர்கள் ஒரு வருஷகாலமாய்ச் சபையோடே கூடியிருந்து, அநேக ஜனங்களுக்கு உபதேசம்பண்ணினார்கள். முதல்முதல் அந்தியோகியாவிலே சீஷர்களுக்குக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்கிற பேர் வழங்கிற்று.

அங்கே இராத்திரியிலே பவுலுக்கு ஒரு தரிசனம் உண்டாயிற்று; அதென்னவெனில், மக்கெதோனியா தேசத்தானொருவன் வந்துநின்று: நீர் மக்கெதோனியாவுக்கு வந்து எங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்ய வேண்டுமென்று தன்னை வேண்டிக்கொண்டதாக இருந்தது.

அக்காலத்திலே இந்த மார்க்கத்தைக்குறித்துப் பெரிய கலகம் உண்டாயிற்று.

உடனே பவுல் இறங்கிப்போய், அவன்மேல் விழுந்து, அவனை அணைத்துக்கொண்டு: கலங்காதிருங்கள், இவன் உயிர் இவனுக்குள் இருக்கிறது என்றான்.

அவர்கள் மிகவும் அழுது என் முகத்தை நீங்கள் இனிப் பார்க்கமாட்டீர்களென்று அவன் சொன்ன வார்த்தையைக்குறித்து அதிகமாய்த் துக்கப்பட்டு,

நான் மக்கெதோனியா நாட்டின் வழியாய்ப் போகிறபடியால், மக்கெதோனியா நாட்டைக் கடந்தபின்பு உங்களிடத்திற்கு வருவேன்.

சகோதரரெல்லாரும் உங்களை வாழ்த்துகிறார்கள். ஒருவரையொருவர் பரிசுத்த முத்தத்தோடே வாழ்த்துங்கள்.

எப்படியென்றால், நாங்கள் மக்கெதோனியா நாட்டிலே வந்தபோது, எங்கள் சரீரத்திற்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் ஒன்றுமில்லாமல், எப்பக்கத்திலேயும் உபத்திரவப்பட்டோம்; புறம்பே போராட்டங்களும், உள்ளே பயங்களும் இருந்தன.

வேற்றுமையான உபதேசங்களைப் போதியாதபடிக்கும், விசுவாசத்தினால் விளங்கும் தெய்வீக பக்திவிருத்திக்கு ஏதுவாயிராமல், தர்க்கங்களுக்கு ஏதுவாயிருக்கிற கட்டுக்கதைகளையும் முடிவில்லாத வம்சவரலாறுகளையும் கவனியாதபடிக்கும், நீ சிலருக்குக் கட்டளையிடும்பொருட்டாக,
