எபேசியனாகிய துரோப்பீமு என்பவன் முன்னே நகரத்தில் பவுலுடனேகூட இருக்கிறதைக் கண்டிருந்தபடியால், பவுல் அவனை தேவாலயத்தில் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு வந்திருப்பானென்று நினைத்தார்கள்.
