அப்போஸ்தலர் 28:2
அந்நியராகிய அந்தத் தீவார் எங்களுக்குப் பாராட்டின அன்பு கொஞ்சமல்ல. அந்த வேளையிலே பிடித்திருந்த மழைக்காகவும் குளிருக்காகவும் அவர்கள் நெருப்பை மூட்டி, எங்கள் அனைவரையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.

அறிமுகமில்லாத அந்தத் தீவின் மக்கள் எங்களுக்குப் பாராட்டின அன்பு கொஞ்சமல்ல. அந்த நேரத்திலே பிடித்திருந்த மழைக்காகவும் குளிருக்காகவும் அவர்கள் நெருப்பை மூட்டி, எங்கள் அனைவரையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.

மழை பெய்துகொண்டிருந்தது. குளிர் மிகுதியாக இருந்தது. ஆனால் அங்கு வாழ்ந்த மக்கள் எங்களை அசாதாரணமான அன்புடன் நடத்தினார்கள். அவர்கள் எங்களுக்காகத் தீ மூட்டி எங்களையெல்லாம் வரவேற்றனர்.

அத்தீவினர் எங்களிடம் மிகுந்த மனிதநேயத்துடன் நடந்து கொண்டனர். மழை பெய்து குளிராயிருந்த காரணத்தால் அவர்கள் தீ மூட்டி எங்கள் அனைவரையும் அருகே அழைத்துச் சென்றனர்.
