பிரதான ஆசாரியனுடைய குடும்பத்தார் யாவரும் எருசலேமிலே கூட்டங்கூடி, அவர்களை நடுவே நிறுத்தி, நீங்கள் எந்த வல்லமையினாலே இதைச் செய்தீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

எல்லா ஜனங்களுக்கும் முன்பாகப் பேதுருவையும் யோவானையும் அவர்கள் நிறுத்தினர். யூத அதிகாரிகள் பல முறை அவர்களிடம், “ஊனமுற்ற இந்த மனிதனை எவ்வாறு குணப்படுத்தினீர்கள்? எந்த வல்லமையைப் பயன்படுத்தினீர்கள்? யாருடைய அதிகாரத்தினால் நீங்கள் இதைச் செய்தீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
