மேலும்: இஸ்ரவேலின் மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அவர்களுடைய ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன், அவர்கள் நீதிமானைப் பணத்துக்கும், எளியவனை ஒரு ஜோடு பாதரட்சைக்கும் விற்றுப்போட்டார்களே.

கர்த்தர் இதனைக் கூறுகிறார்: “நான் நிச்சயமாக இஸ்ரவேலர்களை அவர்களது பல குற்றறங்களுக்காகத் தண்டிப்பேன். ஏனென்றால் அவர்கள் கொஞ்சம் வெள்ளிக்காக அப்பாவி ஜனங்களை விற்றார்கள். அவர்கள் ஏழை ஜனங்களை பாதரட்சைளுக்காக விற்றார்கள்.

⁽ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே:␢ “இஸ்ரயேல் எண்ணற்ற குற்றங்கள்␢ செய்ததற்காக␢ நான் கொடுத்த தண்டனைத் தீர்ப்பை␢ மாற்றவே மாட்டேன்;␢ ஏனெனில், அவர்கள்␢ நேர்மையாளரை வெள்ளிக் காசுக்கும்␢ வறியவரை இரு காலணிக்கும்␢ விற்கின்றார்கள்.⁾
