இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரே, இதோ நான் ஒரு ஜாதியை உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக எழுப்புவேன்; அவர்கள் ஆமாத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கிற வழிதொடங்கிச் சமனான நாட்டின் ஆறுமட்டாக உங்களை ஒடுக்குவார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரே, இதோ, நான் ஒரு தேசத்தை உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக எழுப்புவேன்; அவர்கள் ஆமாத்துக்குள் நுழைகிற வழி தொடங்கிச் சமமான நாட்டின் ஆறுவரைக்கும் உங்களை ஒடுக்குவார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

“ஆனால் இஸ்ரவேலே, நான் உங்களுக்கு எதிராக ஒரு நாட்டைக் கொண்டு வருவேன். அந்நாடு உன் முழு நாட்டுக்கும் அது லெபோ ஆமாத் முதல் அரபா ஓடைவரை துன்பங்களைக் கொண்டுவரும்.” சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் இவற்றைக் கூறினார்.

⁽‘இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாரே!␢ உங்களுக்கு எதிராக␢ வேற்றினம் ஒன்றைத் தூண்டிவிடுவேன்.␢ அவர்கள் ஆமாத்து வாயிலில் இருந்து␢ அராபா நீரோடை வரையில்␢ உங்களை ஒடுக்கித் துன்புறுத்துவார்கள்,’␢ என்கிறார் படைகளின் கடவுளாகிய␢ ஆண்டவர்.⁾

For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entrance of Hamath unto the brook of the Arabah.
